"Kolkata to get Water Metro connectivity," says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari
A gruesome incident has shocked Aurangabad, where an uncle allegedly murdered his three nephews and a niece with a cutter, triggering widespread outrage and fear. The incident took place under the Haspura police station area, and the accused, identified as Amant Pal, is currently in critical condition after attempting suicide following the killings.
According to initial reports, the accused returned home and became enraged when there was a delay in opening the door. His sister-in-law was reportedly in the bathroom at the time, causing the delay. Investigators, however, believe that such a minor trigger alone may not fully explain the brutality of the act, and the real motive is yet to be established.
Police said that after entering the house, the accused allegedly turned on loud music and used a cutter machine to kill the children one by one. The victims—Anish Kumar (10), Ayush Kumar (7), and Anushka Kumari (5)—were found with severe neck injuries. The bodies were discovered lying together in a room, with blood scattered across the scene, indicating the intensity of the violence.
After carrying out the killings, the accused reportedly attempted to take his own life by slitting his throat. He was found critically injured at the scene and was rushed to a nearby hospital before being referred to Patna for advanced treatment. Local residents alerted authorities after discovering the horrifying scene.
The father of the children, Guddu Pal, works as a cook in a train pantry car and was not present at the time of the incident. The case has left the entire neighbourhood in shock, with panic spreading across the area. Police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact motive behind the crime and are examining all possible angles.
